He comments on the effects of Obamacare on small businesses in Iowa. Congressman King also speaks on a recent article in The New York Times on the "Pigford scandal" described as a""a runaway train, driven by racial politics, pressure from influential members of Congress and law firms that stand to gain more than $130 million in fees." Congressman King, who was very much criticized for taking a stand, has now been vindicated by the New York Times article. w When asked if it was worth it, to stand on principle, he does not hesitate to reply yes and to further describe the corruption and the methods employed by the left to divide the country by race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, something that he calls "the worse, illegal SIN...," to achieve political gains... Ambassador Price also speaks of his work in Somalia and the work of his foundation in the area, “devastated by drought, famine and conflict.” He points to the importance of education and cites as an example, a young student from the refugee camps, who has received a scholarship to attend MIT. The Ambassador notes of the radicalization in the US, specifically, the many Somalis in Minnesota, who “have become radicalized, attending certain Madrassas and Mosques and who have returned to their land,” and notes the research by terrorist expert, Steven Emerson… mp3
President George W. Bush. Library, Museum and Center. Ambassador John Price Ambassador Price, who was appointed by President Bush, speaks of his relationship with the Bush family over the years and his involvement as part of the Finance and Advisory Committees of the GWBush Presidential Library and Museum. The View from Abroad. Boston Bombings. Edward Patrick Flaherty, former Chairman, RA Switzerland Mr. Flaherty, an attorney, who lives in Geneva , speaks as a “Bostonian” on the recent “jihad” bombings in that city. For Mr. Flaherty, whose father was a policeman in Boston, the tragic events, in a sense, “hit home.” He notes that he attended Tufts University and lived in Watertown and participated and watched for many a year, the Boston marathon. Living in Switzerland and watching the BBC, he found the whole tragedy somewhat “surreal, from a human and economic loss.” He pointed to the “curfew” imposed on the town and citizens…, reminiscent of un-American regimes…. And recalls the acts perpetrated by the terrorists of the 60’s and 70’s…(who are now teaching at Columbia University). Mr. Flaherty speaks of the heroic acts by the police and everyday citizens…in stark contrast to the terrorist Tsarnev brothers, who enjoyed American privileges. mp3
Segment 4 The View from Abroad. The UN and wikileaks. Edward Patrick Flaherty, former Chairman RA Switzerland Mr. Flaherty speaks of a project similar to “wikileaks”, a place where UN employees , “whistleblowers” can upload documents that may reveal illegal behavior by the organization. Calling attention to the fact that the institution enjoys “international immunity,” it is difficult for wronged contractors and employees to litigate against it. “The system is corrupt and the UN must be held accountable,[ if only], in the court of public opinion.” For Mr. Flaherty notes that the “UN wikileaks” may elicit “public shame,” in the US (at least) especially since the US pays 25% of the UN’s costs. The UN is a “complete secret society-a Mafia without guns.” mp3
